What is the Wave Challenge? This is a fun opportunity for young kids (8-14 years) that aren't sailing in the main event to get on the water sailing Hobie Waves. It is fun in a safe and friendly . They can join in as much or as little as they want to. There will be a support boat allocated to them exclusively and a team of supervising adults running the event. The children will receive recognition on presentation night and a regatta shirt.

The wave challenge held during the recent NSW state championships at Vincentia was a huge success. All of the kids that participated had a great time as well as learning sailing skills and confidence. Spectators reckon it was the best entertainment they had ever seen at a regatta and it's a within 500m of the beach so no telescopes are required.
